walk or run; flat; some road, some paths through middle of fields, some lanes. Last part is road without pavement.

7 miles: Wootton and Dry Sandford

Start at Wootton shops car park... Turn left; pass first road; turn into Lashford Lane. Take first marked path on right. Follow across field and between houses. Emerge on a lane. Turn left. Quickly turn right onto path running behind primary school. Emerge on road. Turn right and follow road past church. Look for marked path on right between old properties. Follow path into wood, out again, across field. (Muddy here) Cross farm track and take path across another field. Over stile onto Rowleigh Lane. Turn right. Pass The Old Rectory on your left. Emerge onto A420. Turn right. Cross road for footpath on other side. Follow A420 to Wootton turn. Follow road back to starting point. (Possible to walk inside the last field on your right to avoid traffic.)

Henwood and Wootton

This week Flint and I walked from Henwood (bus stop at the end of path from Henwood Farm.   Dog can be off-lead for 1st half of walk.   Some paths, some road.  

Cross the road and go right a few metres.  

Take the left path (marked) with a house in your left.  

 Continue down the lane and across field on well marked path. 

 At end of the field with the opening to a road ahead of you, keep within the field but turn left following the footpath next to the hedge.  

Now you are walking back to Wootton.  

At end of field it is necessary to climb over the wooden fence onto pavement. 

 Continue straight into Wootton village.  Pass entrance to industrial park on left.  

Take next left path into new housing and follow path/roads towards where you left the car.  

Come into pavement of the B road eventually and walk up Wootton road to reach car.
